Ecclesiastes 3: 1-8

“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven:

a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot;

a time to kill and a time to heal;

a time to tear down and a time to build;

a time to weep and a time to laugh;

a time to mourn and a time to dance;

a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them;

a time to embrace and a time to refrain;

a time to search and a time to give up;

a time to keep and a time to throw away;

a time to tear and a time to mend;

a time to be silent and a time to speak;

a time to love and a time to hate;

a time for war and a time for peace.”

Since there is a time for everything, my question is, WHAT TIME OR SEASON ARE YOU IN?

Is it time for something in your life to be born? Are you in a place where new things want to come into your life? Have you been praying for change to come, and it’s finally arriving?

Is it time for you to create a new lifestyle? Is it time for you to have a new job? Is it time for new friends?

Maybe it’s time for you to do something new, or have something new, but do you realize that in order for you to have something new, you have to give up something that has become old?

If you keep getting new things without getting rid of old things, your house will get awfully cluttered. Your closets will get junky, and you will no longer have order around you. Think of your house as being all the things around you that you allow in your life.

What does Joshua say in Joshua 24:15?

“As for me and MY HOUSE, we will serve the Lord.”

Yes, it’s true that the house Joshua was talking about was his family; his household, but when you say it, think of it as being all the things you include in your life. Is your HOUSE serving the Lord?

Jordan Cook spoke last night at Faith & Vision about how God honors hope.

In my gallery, I framed an 8×10 sheet of paper of Color Descriptions I wrote at age 5.  So many people have asked me for copies that I thought I’d share it on my blog.  In the next few weeks, I will share my 12-year-old ideas about color.  Since I won’t be looking at what others say about each color, don’t be surprised if my definitions are different.

Meet My Friends

 Jordan Cook, Age 5

Red.  Red shouts.  Red is the color of Love.  Red is snappy; Red is strong.  Red is not afraid, and does not give up.  No matter what, Red makes it happen.  Red works hard, and is not shy.  Red stays put.

Orange.  Orange dances.  Orange is playful, and likes to surprise me.  Orange is fun and full of joy.  Orange is like a picture colored in without spaces showing through.  Orange is a back flip with a perfect landing.

Yellow.  Yellow is warm and smooth, not rough.  Yellow is the same all the time.  Yellow is never cold or mean or sad; only light and happy.  Yellow is a good friend who forgives.

Grean.  Green isn’t ever tired or sleepy.  Green keeps going until the same old thing turns into something else.  Greeen makes things alive instead of dead.  Greeen is the color of sprouting and growing.  Green is everywhere.

Blue.  Blue tiptoes.  Blue is gentle, calm, quiet, and easy.  Blue is light rain and heavy dark.  Blue is peaceful and Blue is deep.  Blue whispers to me.

Purple.  Purple is king.  Purple gives me everything I need and more.  Purple is the richest, the deepest, and the best.  Purple is Blue and Red all at once.  Purple is big like mountains.

I have a huge vision.  Part of that vision is to have an international board of like-minded kids to join me.  I already have an Christian Arab kid in mind, who I plan to talk to next month, but I’m still waiting for God to bring me the rest of the Board.  I’m letting God bring them instead of looking for them so I know they will be the RIGHT ones.

Listen: these kids and I are going to prophesy what we see and hear into the world we live in. We will start things in motion by releasing what God puts inside of us. We will meet on the actual soil of the nations we are changing and plant seeds into the ground as a prophetic act of the spiritual seeds we are planting. The kinds of seeds we plant will match the vision God gives us for that region. Do you know that plants have meaning? For as long as I can remember, I have studied plants and their spiritual meaning. Just recently, God gave me a name for this study. It is called Paleoethnobotany: the study of ancient plants and their spiritual meaning. There is meaning to the things God planted on His earth, and we are going to plant His intentions on the earth He gave us dominion over.

This generation is a generation of SEED planters and HARVESTERS. We are gathering the harvest our parents and grandparents planted, and are planting seeds for a future harvest as well. Listen: the Bible talks about a day when the reaper will overtake the sower, and that harvests will come so quickly that no one will be able to fathom what has happened. That day is NEAR!

We are not only going to REACH the world, but also PLANT the world.

These harvest fields are ours to take!

Kids who God is sending my way, I am waiting for you, and I am praying the path for you to my door is plain for you to see, easy for you to walk, and fruitful in every way!
